Sailor Moon - Sailor Stars
In the Italian dub of Sailor Moon Sailor Stars, the Starlights’ sex switching was not present. Instead the they were said to be the twin sisters of the Three Lights. This explanation was added to the Italian dub after Vera Slepoj, a psychologist, claimed that Sailor Moon made young boys become homosexual.
In the Korean dub, the Sailor Starlights’ sailor fuku (Uniforms) were edited so that they covered the entire midriff.
No English Dub for Sailor Moon: Sailor Stars was ever officially made.

Sailor Moon - “Famous” Cousins Edit
Haruka (Sailor Uranus) was romantically linked with Michiru Kaiou (Sailor Neptune). Although the anime was not graphic, there were several hints given, especially during the Stars season, that Haruka and Michiru had a physical relationship. In the English dub, however, Amara (Haruka) and Michelle (Michiru) were changed to be cousins in order to avoid controversy surrounding homosexuality.

Sailor Moon - Season 1
In the English dub of Sailor Moon by DiC, Zoisite was changed from a homosexual man to a heterosexual woman called Zoycite to avoid any potential backlash from parents who may not approve of a gay relationship being present in a children’s cartoon. Her personality was much the same as male Zoisite’s, but was perhaps a little less subtle.

This edit included giving the character a female voice (instead of male like in the Japanese) and the cast and characters within the English dub to refer to the character as female at all times.

Witchblade
I was asked about the censorship of the anime adaption of the american comic “Witchblade” and along with the picture above, you maybe surprised to find out, the Censored version, is Japanese.
For the TV-version of Witchblade in japan, her costume was given some alterations for on-air purposes. It’s my understanding that these edits were TV and advertising only and on dvd releases for both Japan and the US, her costume is unchanged.

This episode was skipped in the first run of the Sailor Moon S on Cartoon Network in America because the editing of the episode could not be finished in time. The episode was later rerun with a green bikini top painted on to the monster-of-the-day.-Sailor System
